Utility room
This is the ideal location for keeping your boiler out of sight and earshot. Utility rooms usually have enough space for extra cylinders or components, plus easy access for servicing and routing the condensate pipe to the internal drainage system. We’ll also check that the room has enough airflow and appropriate wall space for the boiler’s flue to exit externally.
Loft
A loft installation is handy for saving indoor space, but it’s not suitable for every property. The loft must have a fixed ladder, boarding, lighting, and enough clearance for safe working conditions. We also take extra care with frost protection, pipe lagging, and making sure the flue can safely exit the roof. However, garages are prone to cold temperatures, so you must make sure that for insulation, you have additional frost protection fitted, especially for the condensate pipe.
Is it safe to have a boiler in the bedroom?
Sometimes, it is safe to have a boiler installed inside a bedroom, but it depends on the type of boiler. If you’re using a room-sealed boiler (which most modern boilers are), it’s much safer. These systems take air from outside and release exhaust gases externally, too, so they don’t impact the room’s air quality.
